In a world governed by the hidden power of words, two opposing forces shape reality: Talkers, who converse with objects to freely harness their innate power, and Rumors, who bring false illusions and horrific lies to physical life. While Rumors plot to plunge the world into total chaos using the power of fabrication, Priscilla stands at the pinnacle of society as a heroic Talker revered by all. But her peaceful world shatters when she discovers a devastating secret: her young son, Leon, possesses the dangerous, taboo talent of a Rumor. Knowing the world would execute her child without mercy, Priscilla abandons her prestigious title, global renown, and heroic status overnight. Taking Leon, she flees to a remote, hidden village rumored to hold the only secret ritual capable of converting a Rumor’s treacherous gift into the righteous power of a Talker. Pursued by both allies and enemies, a mother’s desperate struggle to save her son from his own cursed destiny begins.
