“Why am I destined to be popular only with girls?” Hangeol had always been especially popular with girls because of her boyish appearance. Thinking that she had simply gone along with everyone because she hated conflict, Hangeol realizes through her best friend’s gossip that what she thought was her “easygoing nature” was actually “frustrating.” After entering college, she tries to become an “ordinary girl,” only to fail spectacularly. Then, after accidentally joining a film club, she becomes entangled with a group of somewhat “strange” girls, each carrying their own emotional wounds and deficiencies. Caught between being their emotional dumping ground and their pillar of emotional support, Hangeol is constantly tossed back and forth between them as she embarks on a coming-of-age journey to discover her true self.
